Get out of the classroom and discuss museums, shopping, nature, and more

In classical Greece, teachers often took their students for a walk through the market, discussing whatever they observed.

This is a great way to learn English.  Here are some ideas, but there are many more:

  • A museum visit: Discuss art, history, or science

    • Shenzhen Art Gallery

    • Shenzhen Museum

    • He Xiangning Art Gallery

    • Guan Shanyue Art Gallery

  • An "Urban Experience": Discuss shopping, restaurants and dining, or architecture

    • Hua Xiang Bei

    • Dongmen

    • Luohu Commercial City

    • The Diwang Building

    • Xin'an Ancient City (Nantou)

  • A walk in a garden: Discuss plants and flowers, birds, and other elements of nature

    • Fairy Lake Botanical Gardens

    • Lotus Mountain

    • Litchi Park

    • The Mangrove Forest

  • A trip to a tourist site: Discuss a theme park, zoo animals, a historical site, and more

    • The scenes in Splendid China

    • The animals at Safari Park

    • The Old Forts in Chiwan or Da Peng

    • Hong Fa Temple in Fairy Lake, Tian Hou Temple in Chiwan, or Guan Yu Temple in Nantou

    • The Gathering of Heroes in Zhongshan Park

You'll learn more in an interesting environment!
