On Chinese New year's Eve, the Shenzhen Economic Daily, a Chinese-language paper, published this picture of my friends Gary and Yanni, with the Temple Guy, in G & Y's living room. AN article accompanies the picture, digging into the scathing, original article on the muckraking topic: "What are foreigners doing to celebrate New Year's?

I don't know what I said, because I can't read Chinese.

It's a better-than-usual pic, I think, because we were having a great time, and it shows. Laughing Buddha, indeed.
