AKI MEGURIHISTORYTOKAIDOYAMATOSHIKOKU

Words-and-Pictures: Soukanji

(as seen on September 15th, 2001, on the Old Tokaido stage of the Aki Meguri)

Note: This forlorn little temple is located next to the ruins of Yamanaka Castle between Hakone and Mishima in Shizuoka Prefecture, which are Stations #10 and 11 respectively (from Tokyo) on the Old Tokaido Highway.  You can read about my brief stop there in my Logbook.  You may also choose to start reading about my Tokaido journey at the beginning, or start at the top of my Aki Meguri pages.

The main--and only--hall.  But the porch did give me shelter from the storm.
The grounds.  No, seriously--that's it.
