Words-and-Pictures:
Nara's Nannendo
(as seen on October 10th, 2001,
on the Yamato stage of the Aki
Meguri)
|
| Note:
Nara is in
the heart of Old Yamato. The Nannendo is located in central Nara,
on the grounds of Kofukuji, which is number 9 of the Saigoku (Kansai) 33
Temples Sacred to Kannon. You can read
about my visit to Nara in my Logbook, read more about my Yamato
experiences, or read about the entire Aki
Meguri from the beginning. |

| This lovely little rokudo (six-sided hall) is
dedicated to Kannon, the Goddess of Mercy. It is the only temple
from the Saigoku circuit located in central Nara. |
